Leather pants, '50s pin ups and retro rock 'n' roll - Teenage Werewolves return to the UK for their second tour and the very first date is the Docks Academy!
Teenage Werewolves are the world’s best Cramps tribute and they are back in England after a wildly successful 2019 tour. This sexy freak-out and visually intoxicating show started preaching the gospel of The Cramps from the pulpit-stages in Los Angeles (Viper Room and Whiskey a Go-Go) after the death of rock’s most-uninhibited singer, Lux Interior. Teenage Werewolves’ signer Jack Atlantis is from the same hometown as Lux and merge John Waters and Russ Meyers overtones to create a show loved by newcomers and hard-core fans alike.
The band will be joined by two mesmerising Burlesque performers - the internationally renowned Queen of Burlesque, Kitten de Ville as their Marilyn Monroe and Jessica Habit, Britain's premier Bettie Page model. Kitten de Ville is credited as one of the originators of the “Modern Burlesque movement”. She regularly performs across the US, UK, and the EU, headlining with a variety of top musicians and performers from around the globe. Jessica Habit is a freelance model with a story very similar to her idol Bettie Page. It began when she modeled for photographer Linden Adams, after he suggested that with her Amazonian stature (5’10" barefoot), she had a striking resemblance to 50s pinup queen Bettie Page. Linden has created scores of provocative photoshoots with Jessica and she then had the opportunity to be on stage with the Teenage Werewolves as a dancer and she has since joined the band for their 2021 UK tour.
The group will also perform a full Bauhaus show to support their Cramps tribute. She’s in Bauhaus was created by singer Jack Atlantis, as a result of high-profile shows in Los Angeles California with original Bauhaus members in the audience who said that Jack’s voice and moves made them forget they weren’t watching Peter Murphy on stage! Other audience members have said; “Somehow, Jack becomes more Peter than Peter Murphy”. Their performance will be one of their first ever in the UK.
Advanced tickets are now on sale priced at £15.95 each with tickets costing £20 on the door (subject to availability).
Please note: this show takes place after the 'return to normality' on 19th July, so it will be a standing gig.
