The popular podcast ‘Cooped Up’ comes to Grimsby for a one-off live performance at Docks Academy to celebrate the launch of a new brewery and a new beer, brewed in collaboration with Docks Beers!

Cooped Up is the nonsensical podcast brought to you by Grimbarian comedian Lloyd Griffith and moderately successful YouTuber Robbie Knox. The podcast started during the first lockdown as a way for Lloyd and Robbie to kill time and people foolishly listened. After more than 150 episodes, and hundreds of thousands of downloads, they have decided to do a special live recording at Docks Academy in front of an audience.

This exclusive evening marks the birth of a brand new beer brewed in collaboration between Docks Beers and Bin Day Brewing Company, which is the aspirational new beermongery sired by Robbie and some bloke called Mike. This all came about because Lloyd used to bang on to fledgling brewer Robbie about Docks Beers so much on Cooped Up that Robbie decided to team up with the Grimsby’s craft brewery to create Bin Day’s first beer brewed on a larger commercial brewkit.

So get down to Docks Academy for an evening of absolute drivel from Lloyd and Robbie as they churn out the stories of when Robbie once babysat one of the Beckham children, the time Lloyd booked a helicopter ride pissed and many, many more besides. There will be games, a Q&A session AND everyone will receive a free pint of the new aforementioned beer.

This may be a seating or standing event, or a mixture of both. Depending on government regulations after June 21st Docks Academy’s Covid-secure protocols may still be in place. These could include mandatory check-in on arrival, a contactless experience, restricted group sizes of no more than 6 and table service.
