Docks Beers 2nd Birthday Party

We are excited to be throwing a socially distanced party to celebrate our second birthday over the weekend of the 10th and 11th October!

It’s been two years since we first opened the doors of the church - to mark the occasion, live music is being staged in the Docks Academy featuring London band The Revellers and DJ L-ROK and delicious street food will also be available. The Revellers are an amazing covers band who play a wide repertoire from blues, soul and pop. DJ L-ROK is a scratch DJ bringing Hip Hop, Pop and House Party vibes to the Church. L-Rok has warmed up the stage for acts such as The Bloodhound Gang and Terrorvision and performed for BBC Radio 1.

To ensure that social distancing is maintained throughout, we’ve introduced a time-slot ticket system that helps to control the amount of people in the building. People wanting to join the celebrations can select one of three sessions on Saturday or one of two sessions on Sunday. Each session is 3-hours long and there is a 30-minute clean down between each slot. The Revellers and DJ L-ROK will be performing in every session so you get to hear the full range of music from both acts no matter which session you come to. It will be stripped back sound so that people will not have to shout. Tables are available for groups of two, four and six people and members of staff will be on hand to provide table service for drinks throughout.

We will be doing all we can do to make sure those attending feel safe - from scanning people’s temperatures when they arrive, to table service and our staff wearing masks. The ticket system is also contactless. Due to the reduction in capacity, we have limited the number of tickets available for each of the sessions. No more than 96 customers will be in the space at one time and tables will be restricted to a maximum of six people.

Last year, over 1,000 people came to the Church to celebrate our birthday and watch some amazing local musicians. There won’t be that many people this year, but the addition of The Revellers and DJ L-ROK at the Church will make it feel as close to a normal event as it can - and we are really excited about it! We want everyone to come to the Church, enjoy some excellent live music and raise a glass for what we hope will be our second of many, many more birthdays!

Tickets for our second birthday party are now on sale and are priced at £8 per person (plus booking fee).
