70 years of our Liz on the throne, it’s a cause for celebration. So let’s take a look at what we’ve got coming up at the church of beer over the Jubilee weekend. To kick off, lets give you an overview of the XL weekend.
Wed 1st & Thur 2nd June – XL Weekend Starts at Docks
Late opening 12-11pm both nights

Also during the weekend there will be a Docks Daily Raffle – a free entry raffle ticket to all who buy a drink, with prizes given out daily, who does like freebies?
Friday 3rd – All the same above and…
Docks Academy will have something for those anti-royalists, as Sex Pistols Exposé & the Clashed, two of the country’s best tribute acts, will perform the anti-establishment tracks you know and love.
Saturday 4th – 70 years of the best British Music.
Each hour of the day starting at 2:00pm, we will play the finest music from each decade the Queen has reigned over, starting with music for the 1950’s, and every hour working our way closer to the present. Expect some Queen.
Sunday 5th – A Right Royal Hangover.
Feeling rough after celebrating too hard? Come down to the Chuch and try out the new eats that Mockingbird have on sale, from special topped fries, new Union Jack-themed milkshakes, and a ‘Royal Banquet’. That should cure those hangover blues. There will also be the best of chilled tunes playing in the taproom.
BierRoyale Hefeweizen 5.3% –
Since we have a monarchy descended from Germans, we decided to celebrate that fact by creating a British take on a German classic.
Lizzy’s Lager 5.7% –
We’ve created a delicate lager recipe and thrown that quintessential ingredient of summer, strawberry at it to create a blissfully rose gold hued lager that would grace any royal banquet.
Re-worked Humber Bitter –
We’ve rebranded our popular Modern Bitter, ‘Humber Bitter’, to adorn the Union Jack, specially for the weekend, same great Bitter, with a limited new lick of paint.
Docks Academy will have something for those anti-royalists, as Sex Pistols Exposé & the Clashed, two of the country’s best tribute acts, will perform the anti-establishment tracks you know and love.
Sex Pistols Exposé create the most authentic gig you will ever get, the closest thing to seeing Rotten, Vicious, Cook & Jones. Foul mouthed yobs they said, wait til you see what you will think is Johnny Rotten giving back everything he gets shouted at him. Having toured the World with Sex Pistols Experience, Nathan is with the rest of his band, performing four shows as a special Jubilee Celebration to commemorate the 45th Anniversary since the infamous rise of the Sex Pistols and their greatest year, 1977.
If that wasn’t enough, fellow Anarchy Tour legends The Clash are included on the bill reimagined by ‘the only tribute band that matters’ and by far the best, The Clashed. From White Riot through Rock The Casbah, these guys cover the lot and with two singers, classics from Strummer & Jones get the treatment they deserve. You won’t be disappointed in the accuracy these boys cover the transition The Clash made from Punk through a career incorporating reggae, dub, rockabilly, hip hop and funk.
Tickets are now on sale priced at £14.50, plus See Tickets commission.
