We are THRILLED to say that Open House will continue throughout the whole of 2023!
Last year, year we launched ‘Open House’, a community initiative to support those in NE Lincolnshire who feel lonely and socially isolated. The project, spearheaded by three members of our team; Kate, Katie-Lou and Kay has welcomed 76 individuals through the doors (beating their target of 50) and a combined total of 195 visits across the eight sessions since launch. Docks Beers covers the monthly costs of delivering this Docks Academy project, but to ensure its long-term delivery and expansion we need financial support. We are keen to hear from organisations or individuals who would like to help us continue the great work we are doing.
We are a safe haven and we’re here for people who feel alone, those who want to make new friends or just get out of the house, for those that simply want a chat or to feel part of a community. We’re delighted to announce a brand collaboration between ourselves and John Roe Toyota!
The brewery has been loaned this very eye-catching Toyota Hilux Invincible X in Titan Bronze which has been beautifully decaled by fellow Grimsby-based business Total Signs.
The Hilux has a well-deserved reputation as the world’s toughest icon since 1968 and its ability to tackle every terrain and overcome every obstacle is legendary. It’s a brilliant matchup for the Docks Beers brand which has always celebrated hard graft and a strong work ethic.
We are excited to see how the one-tonne payload of the Hilux Invincible X copes with multiple kegs and casks as we go about delivering beer to our customers!

The Dockers Club Membership was designed to provide a unique experience for the most dedicated of Docks Beers fans. On Wednesday 1st February we had our very first Dockers Club night, an exclusive event for Dockers and their guests. The night was attended by 60 people and was a rip-roaring success.
This first meeting was a chance for Dockers to meet their fellow club members, hear from the brewers about upcoming future beer releases and chat with the Docks Team about all things beer and more. The members were able to sup a beer brewed specially for the event, only available to Dockers, which was created based on the results of polls about beer style, abv and hops voted on by Members. The resulting ‘Dockers IPA’ was greatly enjoyed by all on the evening (the fact it was free might well have contributed to its popularity!), as well as Docks Bitter which was laid on free for the cask drinkers.
Five more members joined the Dockers on the night. There’s still time if you want to join the club and get the perks of 10% off in our bars and an invite to our four remaining Dockers events on Wednesday 5th April, Saturday 8th July (a Summer Bash in the Academy with live music), Wednesday 4th October and Wednesday 6th December. There are only 11 months left of this first cohort’s membership so we have reduced the amount it costs to join the Dockers Club. Not only that, we’ve added another perk to the membership. You will now receive 10% off Mockingbird Streetfood, so you can get a pint AND food, and save money when you are next in Docks. Winner winner chicken dinner.
Docks Academy is already shaping up to be the best yet for the venue, and we’re only getting started…
As you may have noticed if you’re following us on socials (you’re missing out if you are not btw), Docks Academy has over the last few months been booking more and more acts than before. Since September, our Head of Music, Lee Welsh, has booked a variety of music acts that previously would not have touched Grimsby as a stop on a tour. Acts like Tom Meighan, The Lottery Winners, Seth Lakeman, Ferocious Dog, and many more are to perform at the Church in 2023..
