Salary: From £10 per hour depending on age (Must be aged 18+)

About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant at Docks Kitchen, you will be the engine room of our operation, working closely with the chef to deliver brilliant burgers and a fantastic customer experience. Your core responsibilities will include:• Food Preparation: Assisting with the daily prep of all ingredients. This includes chopping fresh salad and vegetables, portioning sauces, preparing patties and getting our stations ready for service.
• Cooking Support: Working alongside the chef during busy periods. This will involve tasks such as toasting buns, cooking fries to perfection and assembling burgers with care and consistency.
• Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene: Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety at all times. This includes “clean as you go” practices, washing equipment and following all food hygiene procedures (HACCP).
• Stock Management: Assisting with receiving deliveries, organising stock using a first-in, first-out system and reporting any low stock levels to the Head Chef.
• Customer Service: As a street food business, we’re on show. You’ll be expected to maintain a positive and professional attitude, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere we share with Docks Beers.
• Opening Closing Procedures: Actively participating in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen area before and after service, ensuring it is secure, clean and ready for the next day.

It would be a bonus if you have:
Previous experience in a kitchen or fast-food environment.
A Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate.
