Last week we were invited to BrewDog Hull to help celebrate the launch of BrewDog’s newest bar, BrewDog Amsterdam Centraal. The Docks Beers team were asked to do a special ‘meet the brewer’ with some of BrewDog’s Equity Punks who were gathering in Hull before making the trip to Holland for the opening of BrewDog Amsterdam Centraal.
The EFPs even got to try out a sneak preview of Bridge Over Troubled Water – the Gooseberry IPA beer we brewed with BrewDog Hull and Bone Machine Brew for BrewDog‘s Collabfest 2023.
This hugely aromatic hazy IPA borrows the best of “Savvy B’s” flavour profile utilising the eponymous Nelson Sauvin hop, and we doubled down on the fruity elements by conditioning the beer on 20g/l of Gooseberries. The result is a potent hazy IPA with notes of Gooseberry, passion fruit, slight herbaceous edge with a mild acidity.
From today, until the 22nd, Bridge Over Troubled Water starts pouring not just here in our taproom, but also at BrewDog Hull and about forty other BrewDog bars up and down the country!
This special beer will be available for one long weekend only – and is bidding to be crowned Europe’s best. If you try it, be sure to leave a review on Untappd here!
