We are proud to present Bowline, our brand new collab brew with Salt Beer Factory. Available on draft and also in can from midday.
Bowline is a 6.3% East India Porter inspired by the style used to quench the thirst of the British in India in the 1800s. This is a heavily hopped style of porter which was exported to India with the traditional IPAs of the time. This collab (between Salt Beer Factory’s Head Brewer Colin Stronge and his old friend Docks Beers Brewer Lewis Birch) has been hopped with Simcoe in the kettle and Simcoe, Citra and Centennial dry hop.
Leading aromas of resinous citrus & berry fruit are complemented by robust, undertones of chocolate and liquorice. Hop aromas are backed up by lightly roasted malt character and balanced bitterness. Located in the UNESCO Village of Saltaire, SALT Beer Factory is truly a one of a kind brewery. The beer factory is housed in a Grade II Listed Edwardian tram shed built in 1904, SALT is a micro-brewery on a mission to unify heritage and modern brewing. The inspiration of their forefather Titus Salt can be seen in their name, throughout their brewery, and the textiles used to name their beers.
