The Red Herring Comedy Club is returning to Docks Academy on Saturday 9th October. Doors for the gig open at 7pm for an 8pm start.
 
Marlon Davis, a talented comedian, improviser and actor who has appeared on BBC’s Live At The Apollo and Comedy Central’s Comedy Store Live, is the headliner. He’s supported Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr on tour and is performing at clubs, arts centres and theatres all over the UK. According to Chortle he “Bursts onto the stage like a breath of fresh air, with an impish grin, boyish enthusiasm and an effortlessly open, confident style.”
 
Also on the bill is Josh Jones, who’s fast-becoming one of the best young acts on the circuit. In just three short years Josh has gone from an open spot to a regular at some of the biggest comedy clubs in the country and a finalist in the BBC Radio 4 New Comedy Award. Chortle said Josh has an ‘'engaging personality, and a back-story that should keep him in routines for years to come.'’
 
The opening act is Julian Deane who’s been wowing audiences across the country with his genius punch lines and perfect delivery. Hes performed on The Russell Howard Hour (SKY) and supported Paul Chowdhry on his mammoth nationwide tour Live Innit, which included a sold-out Wembley arena date. Julian is also co-host of ‘The Two Vegan Idiots’ Podcast. Chortle described him as being “assured and brilliant. Deane is a class apart. a master of hilarious twists and turns.”
 
Our MC is one of the best acts/MC’s on the circuit. Rich Wilson has performed sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and the New Zealand Comedy Festival. An extremely in demand writer, Rich has also contributed on shows for BBC Three, Sky Arts and Channel 4.
